Franchisees sell and supervise pool and spa construction, and the building work is done by contractors they hire.
Item 19 publishes revenue figures and no cost figures. It gives no cost lines, margins or profit figures, and no figures for new franchises month by month.
The FDD gives two counts for 2025 closures. The opening paragraph of Item 19 excludes 15 franchises that closed permanently during 2025; explanatory note 1 refers to 17. Item 20 shows 15 terminations in 2025.
Territory
Territory and pool types
A territory is generally one to four counties. The franchisor sets it before signing based on the market size it believes the franchisee can serve, and Item 12 states there is no particular formula. The territory is not exclusive.
Each franchise is assigned construction pool types. The three methods are gunite, fiberglass and vinyl. The franchise agreement lists the pool types allocated and whether the franchisee may also sell remodeling.
Each franchise has Minimum Annual Performance Requirements. They are set before signing for each pool type and for remodeling. If a franchisee misses one, the franchisor may shrink the territory, remove a pool type or remodeling, or terminate on 30 days’ notice.
The business can run from a home office or vehicle. Item 7 puts rent at $0 to $20,000, with the high end for three months of a 2,500 square foot commercial space. The typical time from signing to opening is one to two months.

The remodeling course is optional. The low estimate assumes the franchisee does not attend it and is not authorized to sell remodeling. The $5,000 to $10,000 of additional funds covers the first three months.
