Talk to Averan → Averan BOR Restoration Conversion Package →- The printed 2025 average does not match the printed total divided by 62. $32,011,047 across 62 businesses is $516,307*. The printed $653,287 equals the total divided by 49*. The 2023 and 2024 averages do match their totals and counts.
- The average has fallen two years in a row. It went from $782,625 in 2023 to $718,089 in 2024 and $653,287 in 2025, down 8.2% and then 9.0%*. The reporting group grew from 16 to 32 to 62 over the same years, so each year covers a different set of businesses.
- The 2025 range runs from $68,474.65 to $2,125,237. The highest-selling business sold 31.04 times the lowest*. In 2023 that multiple was 6.77*.

- Openings slowed from 30 in 2023 to 7 in 2025, and the system ended 2025 one business smaller. BOR Restoration went from 72 to 71 franchised businesses in 2025, with 3 terminations and 5 that ceased operating. Two agreements were signed but not opened at year end.

Figures as the brand reported them, from franchisees’ unaudited financial statements. Each year covers businesses open at least 12 months at 31 December of that year.
The average BOR Restoration business reported $653,287 of gross sales in 2025, and the median reported $548,673. The group is 62 of the 71 franchised businesses, those open at least 12 months at 31 December 2025. Seven businesses signed in 2025 and two that did not fully report are left out.
Item 19 reports gross sales and nothing below that line. The FDD states that the figures do not reflect cost of sales, operating expenses or other costs. Wages, vehicles, insurance, advertising and the franchise fees all come out of gross sales before an owner is paid.
Gross sales are counted on the invoiced amount. The FDD defines gross sales to include payments from a client’s insurance carrier and treats any amount not collected as a discount, which is not deducted. Royalties are charged on the same basis.
The share of businesses at or above the average rose from 37% to 48%. In 2025, 30 of 62 businesses reached the average, and the median sat at 84.0% of the average*.

The 2025 average and the reporting count
| Year | Total gross sales | Reporting businesses | Printed average | Total ÷ reporting * |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2023 | $12,522,000 | 16 | $782,625 | $782,625 |
| 2024 | $22,978,854 | 32 | $718,089 | $718,089 |
| 2025 | $32,011,047 | 62 | $653,287 | $516,307 |
Totals, counts and printed averages as the brand reported them; the last column is marked *.
For 2023 and 2024 the printed average equals the total divided by the reporting count. For 2025 it does not. $32,011,047 divided by 62 is $516,307*, which is $136,980 below the printed $653,287*.
The printed 2025 average equals the total divided by 49. That gives $653,287*. The FDD does not name 49 anywhere in the 2025 description; 49 is the 2023 year-end location count.
The 2025 percentage at or above average uses 62. Thirty businesses out of 62 is 48.4%*, which matches the printed 48%. So the count of 62 and the printed average point to different groups, and a buyer can ask the franchisor which figure is correct.
The median of $548,673 does not depend on the total. It is the middle reported figure, and it sits above the $516,307 that the total and the count of 62 give*.

High, low, median and average as the brand reported them; the two ratio columns are marked *.
BOR Restoration does not split its locations into performance bands. Item 19 gives the highest, lowest, average and median business for each year, with the share at or above the average. It does not publish quartiles, tiers or results by years open.
The highest 2025 business sold $2,125,237 and the lowest sold $68,474.65. That is 31.04 times*. The highest figure has risen each year, from $1,615,513 in 2023, while the lowest has fallen each year, from $238,685.
The median has stayed between 78.2% and 84.0% of the average. A median below the average means a smaller number of higher-selling businesses lift the average*. In 2025, 32 of the 62 businesses sold less than the printed average.
The reporting group changes every year. It was 16 businesses in 2023, eight of them in Colorado, 32 in 2024 and 62 in 2025, with 10 in Colorado. Many 2025 reporters were in their first or second full year, since 30 businesses opened in 2023 and 25 in 2024.

Rates as the brand reported them. The dollar and share columns are marked *, applying each rate to the printed 2025 average and assuming one owner. The share column is rounded to 2 decimal places, so the rows do not add exactly to the total.
At the 2025 average of $653,287, the charges paid to the franchisor come to $81,871 a year, or 12.53% of gross sales. That is an Averan calculation*. Local advertising adds a further $32,664 that the franchisee pays to suppliers.
The $2,000 monthly royalty minimum applies below $342,857 of annual gross sales. That is $24,000 divided by 7%*, from the third calendar year. The $1,500 local advertising minimum applies below $360,000 a year*. The lowest 2025 business, at $68,474.65, falls under both.
At the 2025 median of $548,673 the charges paid to the franchisor come to $72,456, or 13.21% of sales. That is an Averan calculation*. The fixed monthly fees take a larger share as sales fall.
Several charges can rise during the 10-year term. The FDD allows the National Branding Fee to rise to 3% or $1,500 a month, local advertising to 6% or $2,000, the technology fee to $1,500 a month and the software license to $2,000 a month, each after 60 days’ written notice.
Royalties are charged on invoiced amounts. If a client or insurer pays less than the invoice, the shortfall is treated as a discount and the royalty is still due on the full invoice.

As the brand reported it, reordered here by size.
$168,994 of the investment is paid to the franchisor or an affiliate at signing. That covers the $35,000 fee, the $127,000 Opening Package, the $3,999 software license and the $2,995 technology startup fee. It is 90.6% of the low total*.
The Opening Package is a fixed $127,000. It includes air movers, air scrubbers, dehumidifiers, extractors, mold-cleaning and smoke removal equipment, thermal imaging, hand tools and a computer loaded with the BOR Software Suite. The franchisor may require the equipment to be replaced from approved sources no more than once every five years.
The vehicle line accounts for $34,000 of the $44,550 gap between the low and high totals. That is 76.3%*. A franchisee may use a truck and trailer or van it already owns if it meets the age and condition rules.
Working capital (cash to run the business day to day) is $9,000 to $15,000 for three months. The FDD states it does not include an owner’s salary or draw. The business is expected to run from home, so rent is $0 to $300.
Franchisees typically open within 30 days of signing. The agreement requires opening within 30 days, and honorably discharged veterans receive a 10% discount on the initial franchise fee.

Across the three years, 13 businesses left through termination or ceasing operations and 11 changed hands. Those are Averan sums of the yearly counts*.
