  1. The 46 single-territory owners in Item 19 averaged $686,909 of gross sales in 2025, and the median was $624,466. 18 owners, or 39%, reached or passed the average, and 23, or 50%, reached or passed the median. Sales ran from $160,409 to $1,538,069.
  2. Average gross profit after labor and materials was $330,195, or 48.1%* of the single-territory average. Item 19 subtracts franchisee-reported labor and product purchases from the primary vendor. Owner pay is not counted as labor, and rent, vehicles, insurance, royalty and advertising are not deducted.
  3. Multi-territory owners averaged $529,137* of sales a territory, against $686,909 for a single-territory owner. The 21 multi-territory owners held 49 territories between them, from 2 to 4 each, and averaged $1,234,654 an owner. Item 19 lists each of the 21 owners.
  4. The royalty rate falls as year-to-date Gross Sales rise. It is 6% up to $750,000, 5% to $1,500,000 and 4% above. A reduced rate holds for the rest of that calendar year and all of the next, and contiguous territories under separate agreements may combine their sales for the test.
  5. Charges paid to the brand come to $57,398* a year at the single-territory average, or 8.36%* of sales. That counts the 6% royalty, the 1.5% National Advertising Fee, the $450 monthly technology fee and the $40 monthly Brand Reputation Protection Fee. The 6% local advertising minimum, $41,215*, is spent by the owner on top.

How Averan works with GarageExperts franchise owners

Everything above came out of a filing. Doing it on your own numbers means the books have to produce the same lines: sales, wages, occupancy, fees and what is left, by location, every month. That is the work.

  1. The call takes thirty minutesYou describe the business and where the numbers are letting you down. We give you an expert view of your situation, and what we would start with. There is no pitch deck.
  2. We look at the fileYou give us read access to the books as they are. We come back with what is wrong, what it will take to fix, and whether the answer is bookkeeping, controller work, or something else.
  3. We send a written scope and a priceIt lists what we do each month, what you get, the date it lands and the fee. We agree it before anything starts, and it does not change unless you agree.
  4. We take over the books and close the first monthWe set up access and systems and enter the opening balances. The first close lands on the date in the scope, and every one after it does too.
