  1. No Liqua-Roof franchise had operated a full fiscal year when the FDD was issued. The Item 19 figures come from roof resurfacing jobs sold as an extra service under certain Spray-Net franchise agreements, using the same product formulations, application systems and pricing method. Item 20 reports no Liqua-Roof outlets from 2023 to 2025.
  2. The median job of $6,770 is $2,838 below the average job of $9,608. The difference* comes from a range of $2,128 to $38,409 across 25 US jobs; the highest job is 18.0 times the lowest*. At the median, the $300,000 first-year minimum takes 44.3 jobs*; at the average it takes 31.2*.
  3. Gross margin ranged from 40.6% to 73.1% across 24 produced jobs. That is a spread of 32.5 percentage points*. The average was 54.1%, the median 52.6%, and 11 of the 24 jobs (46%) met or exceeded the average. The FDD names roof pitch, job size and pricing as the main drivers.
  4. The Brand Development Fund minimum is 3% of the minimum gross sales in each year of the schedule. For one territory it is $9,000 on a $300,000 minimum in year one and $21,370 on $712,345 in year ten*. The stated rate is 2% of gross sales, so the 2% charge passes the first-year minimum at $450,000 of sales*.
  5. Liqua-Roof charges a royalty of 7% of gross sales or of the $300,000 first-year minimum, whichever is greater, and a 2% Brand Development Fund contribution with a $9,000 first-year minimum. The franchisee also spends at least $40,000 on local advertising and $10,000 on traditional marketing in year one, and pays $400 a month plus 0.25% of sales for software, $50 a month for Roof-Pal and $290 a month for the call center. Shipping, which Item 19 estimates at 2% to 5% of gross sales, is extra.

How Averan works with Liqua-Roof franchise owners

Everything above came out of a filing. Doing it on your own numbers means the books have to produce the same lines: sales, wages, occupancy, fees and what is left, by location, every month. That is the work.

  1. The call takes thirty minutesYou describe the business and where the numbers are letting you down. We give you an expert view of your situation, and what we would start with. There is no pitch deck.
  2. We look at the fileYou give us read access to the books as they are. We come back with what is wrong, what it will take to fix, and whether the answer is bookkeeping, controller work, or something else.
  3. We send a written scope and a priceIt lists what we do each month, what you get, the date it lands and the fee. We agree it before anything starts, and it does not change unless you agree.
  4. We take over the books and close the first monthWe set up access and systems and enter the opening balances. The first close lands on the date in the scope, and every one after it does too.
