The quartile with the highest revenue per territory held the fewest territories per franchisee. The top quartile held 1.08 territories per franchisee, the second 1.45, the third 1.64 and the bottom 2.25.* The top quartile averaged $820,038 a territory, 13.06 times the bottom quartile’s $62,802.* Item 19 does not give a reason for the difference.
The highest territory in the top quartile billed $3,391,260 and the lowest $308,008. The highest territory in the second quartile billed $284,442, so 61 of the 74 territories billed $284,442 or less.* All 27 bottom-quartile territories billed $99,302 or less.
Item 12 sets a minimum gross revenue for each 12-month period. For one territory it is $125,000 in months 1 to 12, $275,000 in months 13 to 24, $400,000 in months 25 to 36, $525,000 in months 37 to 48 and $650,000 from month 49. Owners of two or three territories under the multi-territory addendum have lower figures per territory, from $66,667 to $400,000. If an owner misses the requirement, the franchisor may require a revenue improvement program and then reduce the territory or terminate the agreement.
The minimum royalty is calculated on that requirement. The annual minimum royalty is the royalty an owner would pay by reaching the minimum performance requirement: none for months 0 to 6, 50% of the requirement for months 7 to 12 and the full requirement after that. On a single mature territory that is $42,250 a year, or 27.16% of the $155,554 median territory’s revenue.*

| Renewal fee | $5,000 | At the end of the term |
| Transfer fee | $10,000 | Plus the greater of $15,000, 3% of the price or the franchisor’s costs if the franchisor found the buyer |
| Liquidated damages | The greater of two years of royalty or $100,000 | If the franchisor terminates for the owner’s default |
| Royalty, brand fund and technology paid to the brand at the $246,167 average* | $22,424 a year | 9.11% of revenue |
Source: Item 6, 2026 FDD, pages 18 to 28. Item 6 states that fees apply to each territory separately. The total row is Averan’s calculation for a single territory.
Royalty and brand fund come to 8.5% of gross revenue.* The technology fee adds $1,500 a year, and the owner spends a further $28,000 a year on local marketing for a first territory, at any level of revenue.* At the $246,167 average territory the total paid to the brand is $22,424, or 9.11% of revenue; at the $155,554 median it is $14,722, or 9.46%.*
A contiguous second or third territory carries $14,000 of local marketing. For an owner of three contiguous territories that averages $18,667 a territory once all three are paying.*
In 2025, 74% of brand fund spending went to administrative and marketing support and 17% to national advertising and programs. The rest was 4% creative design and production, 3% other and 2% public relations. At the median territory the 2% contribution is $3,111 a year, of which 17% is $529.* The brand fund is not audited.
Liquidated damages are the greater of two years of royalty or $100,000. Two years of royalty exceeds $100,000 only above $769,231 of annual revenue.* At the median territory, $100,000 is 64.29% of a year’s revenue.*
Work outside the territory carries a territory infringement fee. The first violation brings a written warning, the second 25% of the revenue from the work, the third 50% and the fourth 100%, and on a fourth violation the franchisor may terminate. Revenue from outside the territory does not count toward the minimum performance requirement.
