  1. Two of nine US gyms are in the revenue figures. Item 19 excludes 8 gyms that opened during the 2024/2025 fiscal year and every gym outside the United States. Both reporting gyms are in San Diego, and the FDD says they may operate under terms that differ from the current franchise agreement.
  2. Franchise 2 grew 19.6%* and Franchise 1 fell 0.7%*. Franchise 2 went from $583,420 to $697,773, an increase of $114,353*. Franchise 1 went from $786,761 to $781,220, a decrease of $5,541*.
  3. $189,550 of the $398,550 low estimate is paid to the franchisor or its affiliates. That is 47.6%* of the low total, according to the cover page. The initial exercise pack, bought from a TYG affiliate for $112,500 to $122,500, is the largest single line in Item 7 at the low end.
  4. Royalty, marketing fee and technology fee come to 10.38%* of the average. At $739,497* of gross revenue, that is $76,755* a year paid to the franchisor. The 3% local marketing spend adds $22,185*, paid to third parties.
  5. The FDD prints a median total of $387,947.50 for the 2024/2025 year. The two gyms took in $697,773 and $781,220, so the median of the two is $739,496.50*. The printed monthly median, $61,624.71, matches the two monthly figures.

How Averan works with The Yard Gym franchise owners

Everything above came out of a filing. Doing it on your own numbers means the books have to produce the same lines: sales, wages, occupancy, fees and what is left, by location, every month. That is the work.

  1. The call takes thirty minutesYou describe the business and where the numbers are letting you down. We give you an expert view of your situation, and what we would start with. There is no pitch deck.
  2. We look at the fileYou give us read access to the books as they are. We come back with what is wrong, what it will take to fix, and whether the answer is bookkeeping, controller work, or something else.
  3. We send a written scope and a priceIt lists what we do each month, what you get, the date it lands and the fee. We agree it before anything starts, and it does not change unless you agree.
  4. We take over the books and close the first monthWe set up access and systems and enter the opening balances. The first close lands on the date in the scope, and every one after it does too.
