Every IES and NetSuite figure above is an estimate from a third party. The real number comes from a quote.
What changes the quote
- The number of legal entities you put in IES.
- The number of users who log in.
- The number of dimensions you use, such as location or department.
- Add-ons such as payroll, payments and time tracking.
The ProAdvisor discount
Intuit gives up to 60% off the IES list price when a ProAdvisor accountant sets up the subscription. A ProAdvisor is an accountant or bookkeeper enrolled in Intuit's program for QuickBooks professionals. The discount applies to the total contract value at signing and lasts for the contract term. It does not apply to users, entities, dimensions or add-ons added after the contract is signed. It does not apply to payroll, tax filing, CRM or outside apps. When the term ends, the subscription renews at Intuit's price at that time.
What setup costs
Intuit includes the migration for companies moving from QuickBooks Desktop. It values that work at $9,000. A company on QuickBooks Online is upgraded in place, and Intuit says the data is ready when you log back in. A company moving from software made by another company, such as Sage or Microsoft, gets an estimate from Intuit's Professional Services team. Top10ERP puts implementation at $7,000 and up, and total first-year cost at $7,000 to $25,000.
How the cost compares with running several QuickBooks Online companies
QuickBooks Online Advanced covers one company per subscription. Three related companies on three Advanced subscriptions cost $12,240 a year at the August 2026 list price. ERP Research's estimate for IES with several entities is $12,000 to $15,000 or more a year. The IES figure includes consolidated reports and intercompany eliminations. The three QuickBooks Online subscriptions do not include either one.
