Moving from Dynamics GP to Intuit Enterprise Suite

By Scott Engler · Averan Advisors · Updated 3 October 2026

Microsoft stopped selling new Dynamics GP subscriptions on April 1, 2026. Technical support and tax updates end on December 31, 2029, and security updates end on April 30, 2031. Intuit Enterprise Suite is one of the systems GP companies move to, and Intuit publishes its own comparison with GP.

What IES does not include

GP companies that use serial and lot tracking, manufacturing orders or warehouse management will not find those tools in IES, according to TechnologyAdvice's June 2026 review. Those companies compare NetSuite and QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise as well.

How the migration is run

Intuit treats GP as a non-Intuit system. Its Professional Services team estimates the work and staff training, reviews your data, completes the migration and helps with apps, workflows and reports afterward. Intuit says each company decides how much history to bring, from a clean start to most of the transaction detail.

The Great Plains migration center has 16 guides on leaving GP, including the GP end-of-life timeline and comparisons with NetSuite, Sage Intacct and QuickBooks.
