Intuit Enterprise Suite for construction companies
By Scott Engler · Averan Advisors · Updated 3 October 2026
Intuit released a construction edition of Intuit Enterprise Suite in open beta in 2026. Construction customers get the beta tools at no extra cost while the beta runs. Intuit says the tools may change and that it may charge for them once they are fully released.
What the construction edition does
| Tool | What it does |
|---|---|
| Estimating and budgets | Builds the estimate and turns it into the job budget. |
| Job costing | Compares each job's budget with its actual costs as the costs come in. |
| Work-in-progress reports | Shows what has been billed on each job against what has been spent and earned. Lenders and bonding companies ask for this report. |
| AIA-style progress billing | Bills each completed phase on the standard AIA form layout. |
| Change orders | Records changes to the job scope and carries them into billing. |
| Several companies | Keeps each company's books separate and adds them together in consolidated reports. |
| Reports | Intuit lists 15 new construction reports. |
Apps it connects to
Intuit lists connections to Procore, Buildertrend, ServiceTitan, JobTread, Knowify, BigTime and Houzz Pro.
Moving from Sage 100 Contractor or Foundation
Intuit treats a move from Sage 100 Contractor, Foundation or any other non-Intuit system as a migration from a non-Intuit solution. Its Professional Services team gives an estimate for the work and for staff training, reviews your data and completes the migration. These are the items to settle before the cutover date.
- The list of open jobs, with each job's budget, costs to date and billings to date.
- Retainage held by customers and retainage you hold on subcontractors, by job.
- The work-in-progress schedule on the cutover date.
- Open subcontractor bills and lien waivers.
- Certified payroll records for prevailing wage jobs.
Moving from QuickBooks
A QuickBooks Online company is upgraded in place. A QuickBooks Desktop company, including the Contractor edition, gets Intuit's included migration, which Intuit values at $9,000. The Desktop to IES guide covers the steps. Our QuickBooks for construction guide covers job costing in QuickBooks.
